Solten Financial Services (Private) Limited is a Zimbabwean owned Microfinance company duly registered with the registrar of companies under the Companies Act chapter 24:03 and licensed by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe as a Micro-Finance Institution and Foreign Exchange Bureau De Change. The company was founded by Tendai Chin’anga and it started operations in August 2009 with a mandate to provide financial services to small business owners and business minded individuals so as to capacitate them to overcome financial barriers resulting from financial exclusion.

The founders of Solten started operations with US$12 000 in personal savings as startup capital and operating one office in Mutare, Zimbabwe. Over the years, the organization has grown to a customer base of over 40 000 clients. It is now operating 23 branches across the country with a greater branch representation in Zimbabwe’s 10 major rural centers. Its branch network covers the major 7 provinces of Zimbabwe which accounts for about 62% of Zimbabwe’s population.
